Scar Care is a private billing practice offering health fund rebates at the time of appointment. We also provide no-gap treatments for clients who are covered by workers compensation, CTP insurance, NIISQ, EPC, DVA and ADF. Scar Care are NDIS registered.

No. You are able to self-refer to Scar Care and do not require a doctor’s referral if you are a private patient.

Yes. As well as privately paying patients, we see clients who are covered by workers compensation, CTP insurance, NIISQ, EPC, DVA and ADF.

There is no gap payment for services for DVA or compensation claims. If you have a Worker Compensation or CTP claim, please bring your claim details, a copy of your current certificate and a doctor’s referral to your appointment.

All health funds are different and it will depend on your particular coverage. We encourage you to check with your health fund before attending your appointment if you are worried.

There are additional costs for consumables, such as compression garments and bandages, scar tape, and silicone products.
These costs will be discussed with clients during the initial assessment and taken into consideration when developing the scar management plan.
